I keep buying the books by this writer, hoping that one of them will come close to capturing the magic of " A dance of love and jealousy". I think this one just may be my last one. Even though I did not like Algerian Nights and Temple of Scanda as much as I loved "A dance of love and jealousy", at least those books had likeable characters with depth.This one is a competently written erotica, but characters IMO are shallow and two dimensional and the most annoying part is that nowhere in the product description publisher bothers to tell me that this is book one of I do not know how many books? It pretty much breaks in the middle. And the book is not that long, it has a little over 2000 locations on my kindle. What? Another five bucks for second half of the story which is not so long in the first place?

Beware! This is one long boring lecture on "safe sex" from a very PROMISCUOUS main character...the aging porn star/male hustler "Nick." It ends ABRUPTLY without any reason...a lot of money for a lot of nothing!
